Why it helps

What is a wedding newspaper?

A wedding newspaper is a printed keepsake left on the guests' tables: how the couple met, the programme for the evening, facts about the bride and groom, playful classifieds and awards for the people in the room. Guests have something to read between toasts, and you keep a memento of the day.

Unlike a template you download somewhere, you never start from a blank page or worry about the layout breaking after an edit. Your names and wedding date are filled in automatically, every section arrives with sample text, and the result is a print-ready PDF. There is one design for now — a classic newspaper look.

Step by step

How to make a wedding newspaper

Step 1

Create the newspaper

The app fills in your names and wedding date, and every section arrives with sample text.

Step 2

Replace the text with yours

Edit sections one at a time, add up to three photos and preview the pages as you go.

Step 3

Download the PDF and print

Send the A3 file to a print shop or print it at home on two sheets.

Contents

What the newspaper already contains

Every section arrives with sample text written for you — all you do is replace it with your own.

  1. 1

    Cover

The paper's name, the main headline, your city, the date and a couple photo.

  2. 2

    Our story

How you met and what came next, with a photo beside the text.

  3. 3

    Fun facts about us

Short details about the couple that make guests laugh at the table.

  4. 4

    Key dates

A timeline of your relationship, from the first message to the proposal.

  5. 5

    Programme of the day

The time and name of every moment, from guest arrival to the end of the night.

  6. 6

    Guest awards

Nominations and the names of the winners among your guests.

  7. 7

    Planning by the numbers

How many days, meetings and songs went into preparing the wedding.

  8. 8

    True or false

Statements about the couple — guests guess which ones are true.

  9. 9

    Classifieds

A playful newspaper column of made-up ads from your guests.

  10. 10

    Thank you for being here

A closing word of thanks to everyone who came to the wedding.

The order of the sections and the page layout are fixed — you can change the text and the photos.

What's inside

From your story to a print-ready file

The newspaper is built from ten sections: some tell your story, some help guests follow the evening, some are there purely for fun.

Tell your story

How you met, your key dates and facts about the couple — what every guest wants to read.

Love story

Tell guests how you met and what happened next. You can add a photo next to the text.

Key dates

First message, first date, moving in, the proposal — a short timeline of your relationship.

Facts about the couple

The funny details only close friends know: habits, arguments and shared rituals.

Help your guests

The programme of the evening, awards for the people in the room and a closing thank you.

Programme of the day

The time and name of every moment of the evening, so guests know what comes next.

Guest awards

Nominations such as "travelled the furthest" or "best dance of the night", with winners named.

Thank you note

A warm closing word from the two of you to everyone who came.

Entertain and print

A table game, playful classifieds and an A3 PDF at the end.

True or false

Statements about the couple for guests to guess — a table game that needs no setup.

Playful classifieds

A newspaper column of made-up ads: "toast expert wanted" and more in the same spirit.

A3 PDF

Download the finished file and print the newspaper at a print shop or at home on two sheets.

What else your guests will use

The programme of the day is easier to draft in the schedule first, and warm words and shared guest photos are collected separately from the newspaper.

Wedding newspaper FAQ

Can I make a wedding newspaper for free?

Creating the newspaper, editing every section, previewing the pages and downloading a PDF are all free. The free file carries a "Sample" watermark, and it stays during the trial too. To download the newspaper without the watermark you need the Starter pack or Premium.

Is this a Word or Canva template?

No. The newspaper is built in the app: you edit text inside a finished layout and get an A3 PDF. There is no Word or PSD file to download — but the layout never breaks when you edit.

How many designs are available?

One layout for now — the classic newspaper look. There is no template picker and no font or colour settings.

What format is it, and how do I print it?

An A3 PDF in landscape orientation: two sheets, each holding two pages side by side. The sheet folds in half so the newspaper reads like a real one. You arrange printing yourself, at a print shop or on a home printer.

What can I change in the newspaper?

The text of all ten sections and three photos — on the cover, in the love story and in the guest awards. The order of the sections and the page layout cannot be changed.

Does it pull data from other parts of the app?

Your names and wedding date are filled in automatically. The programme of the day, guests and other details are typed into the newspaper by hand — they are not carried over from the schedule or the guest list.

How long does it take to prepare?

Sample text is already written in every section, so an evening is usually enough: swap in your details, add photos and download the PDF.

Which languages are supported?

The sample text is available in 11 languages, including English and Russian. The date is formatted in the language of your wedding.

Put your wedding newspaper together in one evening

Replace the sample text with your own story, add photos and download an A3 PDF in the Wedding Planner — No Stress app.
